Stefanie von Quast

Painter and sculptor. Her subject is the human being, painted, modelled, and carved in stone. She pays close attention to color, drawing, and the texture of the surfaces of the chosen materials. Whether canvas, stone, bronze, or wood, the theme remains the same and the most important:
People at peace within themselves, in their beauty and aesthetics, facing life with ease, freedom, and joy. What they express or how they relate to each other is revealed through their posture and body language, serving as an expression of interpersonal vibrations.
“Currently Unavailable I-III”
Constant availability and reachability dominate our lives more and more. As a result, taking time off has become increasingly important. We have almost forgotten how to take time for ourselves or to let things unfold slowly. In the three sculptures “Currently Unavailable,” the fallen high heels symbolize this time out. By removing these business shoes, the girls turn to their break, reading, gazing into a crystal ball, or simply looking up at the sky.
“Restart into the Blue”
Leaving the past behind, the figure dynamically ascends the steps, walking through the large gate into the future, ready for a fresh start, the restart into the blue.
“Soul Dance”
Dance represents lightness, freedom, and joy in life. When two people connect intimately through dance, their souls touch, and they can float into their own spheres. It doesn’t matter whether the dance is a tango or a simple shuffle.
