Mia Böddecker
Mia Böddecker, born in 1975, passed her masters examination in ceramics in 1998. She then completed her training as a mosaic artist in Italy. In 2000, she entered the automotive industry, where she modeled future vehicles in full scale at design studios for Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, and Ferrari. Beyond her work in the automotive field, in her studio, she feels at home in the realm of humorous art. She has created approximately 2,000 humorous figurines, numerous witty figures, sculptures, and quirky portraits on canvas. Currently, she brings her distinctive personalities to life in wood, “sculpting” with a chainsaw. Recently, bronzes have been added to her versatile repertoire. The driving force behind her extensive work is curiosity, a playful spirit, a passion for technology, and a deep sense of goodwill toward the human spirit.
