Landscape and plein air painting isn’t about competing with nature. Instead, the painter is offered an opportunity to submit themself and be fully engaged with it in a specific moment, capturing the transient light and atmosphere through colors and composition, without distancing themselves from it. As an artist, I allow nature to guide me; while painting outdoors, I transform from an observer into a part of the landscape, embracing its beauty and variations, and I make a humble effort to reflect that in my work.
